DS Machine Basement #4 stove vs Napoleon pellet stove

DS Machine Basement #4 stove vs Napoleon pellet stove

Coal vs wood. Pellet stove has been sitting not running for a month now. Wife likes the even heat and no mess from the coal stove compared to the wood pellets. The pellet stove is very messy and you have to clean it and refill it twice a day which is a pain the butt. Plus it can not heat the whole house when the temps go below 20* and when the power goes out so does your pellet stove and oil furnace!

Thanks 07roadstar, love the DS basement model it looks ready and able. Too bad you have a ton and a half of pellets for the new plant stand  Well I guess you could use it in a few months.

Thank's Sunny.
Its running now at around 450* on top from behind the hopper. Temp after the baro is 130*. Love it very much. I had a guy yesterday come buy the house to resurface my tub and liked how warm it was in the house considering it was 10* outside. Told him what I had and could not believe it and said I will give him the grand tour of the stove. He just emailed me and asked if I could give him web sites on coal stoves. He really wants a stoker stove or stoker furnace after seeing what mine does. So I gave him the web sites of hitzer and leisure line coal stoves. He heats his house with a pellet stove too along with a oil furnace.

Ahh, another one sees the benefit. Hope ya brought another one to the fold !

Interesting how all it takes is for somebody burning oil to feel how warm a house can be burning a pile of old rocks ! :D
