2013 will go down in history as one of the 10 coldest years

The government has been trying to control all major money flow in our country. Before taking over 1/6th of our economy with the healthcare scam. They tried to force us to buy and sell energy credits thru who? That's right the government was going to control all the energy and all the money associated with it. Wake up people! This crap about global warming is just another power grabbing money making thing set up by the government to control us. The bottom dropped out of the global warming scam when they where caught red handed falsifying data to make their theories work. Its all about control and money. :o

If the current trend continues, drastic planetary changes WILL occur, in very short order, in a geologic time frame. Short order is not how the earth usually behaves,.......with anything.

Oh no?? The planet is known for sudden changes like anything else in nature. Just let that mega volcano sitting under Yellowstone erupt and you will see immediate and drastic change. So I completely disagree with that entire statement. There are no guarantees to anyone or anything on a dynamic planet. And to blame carbon/man/oil/industry for anything is nonsense.

And when caught red handed the term "Global Warming" stopped being used and "Climate Change" was introduced in an attempt to keep up the facade. When I was in grade school in the 70's the teachers started telling us about how the Earth was cooling and a "Nuclear Winter" type scenerio was taking place. Snow would fall in places like Miami Florida. CFC's in hairspray was the reason for eating a hole in the ozone layer. FlashForward 30 years and the lie is still there. Just in another form.

Yep - DuPont didn't want to play ball, so suddenly R12 - the best refrigerant ever produced - was deemed an earth-killer. This resulted in a ban on R12, and it's price spiking to astronomical levels. People were herded into "conversion kits" for their automotive A/C systems when the remaining R12 inevitably leaked out, which cost consumers untold millions of dollars in unnecessary repairs. Not to mention the thousands of conversions that went south, due to the nature of R134a - the new refrigerant that was to be the be-all, end-all. Pressures were higher, so it leaked quicker in R12 systems, it was incompatible with mineral oils, and created corrosive chlorine when mixed with residual R12 suspended in the oil. Compressors grenaded left and right, costing people thousands in repairs.

Your government at work. About the only thing they get right is the ability to vacuum every last penny from your wallet by any means necessary .. to them ....

Now I hear R134a is a contributor to "global warming" ... so look for a similar scenario playing out any day now ...

What do you mean, "drastic planetary changes-short order,". If that never happens naturally then explain to me why they have found frozen Wooly Mammoths upright in a glacier with freshly eaten buttercups in their stomachs not even digested before they were frozen. That would indicate sudden to me.

Umm,.....the super volcano under Yellowstone has been there brewing a long time. About 800,000 years since it last erupted. At least two eruptions before that about 800,000 years apart. Sure, when it spews there will be a sudden and dramatic change but it's been building up steam for almost a million years.

Carbon posted that William, not I. I was responding.
Just because it has been a long time by OUR reckoning, does not mean it will not happen to tomorrow or the next day. And you can take all the arguments about GM and CC and throw them out the window if just one asteroid or one major volcanic eruption occurs. Or the sun has a bad day in our direction. Mt. Saint Helens had more effect on global climate then all of us puny people combined since then. And it was a hiccup comparatively speaking.

Probably the way to look at it is if the super volcano goes or global warming gets worse or we have an Ice age. We will all die.
The other side of the coin is even if none of this stuff happens we are still all going to die. So while I am here I will continue to not worry much about it and continue to live while I can.

Comrades in the USA's fight for global warming unite! The Daily Kos proudly announced that no less than the prestigious Los Angeles Times newspaper will no longer publish articles that are counter to the agenda of the global warming proponents, and it asks all of the USA's news media join hands in this effort to eradicate all opposition to global warming.
