Santa's Coming In A Canoe !

Well, according to the Radar Boys' Forecast, parts of ohio could expect to see 4" of rain before we head back into the Freezer Sunday Night. This oughta make for some thrilling conditions as we all try to" Go Over The River And Through The Woods,To Grandma's House We Go" ! Watch it out there as you Ho-Ho-Ho it up over the next few days!

Right you are HB, I would have never thought all that snow cover could melt so fast. Creeks & ponds are as high as can go & my ways out of here are just about under water. Got enough supplies in so let it come, not like there is any stopping it. :o

We just had 10inches of snow melt in 3 days, a nice slow constant drip into the dirt. We have been really low on rainfall around here all fall so the ground took alot of it nicely, but dont think we could a 4 inch drown session. Good luck to you folks out in that ohio valley.

Bye,Bye,useless Weather Channel....Bye Bye ! You guys are getting hammered. They said up to an inch of ice is possible. Most sincerely bad news ! Hunker Down,my Friend ! I hope Freetown Fred doesn't stand in one place too long out there.

I hate to say it, but I'd take some of that ice rather then the 1 foot & rising fkn water coming out of the back creek into the lower pasture-- :(

59 degrees here this morning, with wind gusts topping 20 MPH, and rain, rain, rain. All I've seen for 3 days now is rain. I have a roughly 20 ft. wide stream running across the far end of what used to be my dry back yard. I'm thinking ark. A canoe is not going to cut it.

Same thing here except I haven't been down to the road to see if it's there but the pines are about 60 ft. tall & the wind sounds like major highway traffic. It's supposed to hit 60or better before it starts back down. At least the wind might wick up some moisture to take East, don't wish more on anyone but we got way too much.

Quick update---57*--water appears to have receded some--I guess my diversion ditches kept it out of the horse barn:) The good news is that I'm not going to have to fill the water trough for a while--yep--still drizzling-- They're talkin 10* for tomorrow night. I guess we'll see how the horses do ice skating! toothy

All this water is a blessing for us because only a couple of weeks ago we were starting to suck air from our well once in awhile. Our well is actually in our house, so we are able to hear every little problem with the well when the jet pump starts getting air. It has been slowly getting better, but this burst of wet weather should hopefully bring us back to where we usually are for this time of year.

Same up here mm--surface water is going gonzo but water table has been squat for at least 3 yrs--we've just got clay & slag--very little top soil or gravel
