Post by chaywood12912 » Sat. Dec. 21, 2013 10:27 pm

Today when cleaning out my ashes I was emptying the dish on the side that fills up with very fine black dust when I noticed the bottom of the tray was wet had like an oily residue on the bottom of the trey, on the exterior of the trey not yhe inside of the trey. This trey is supposed to be emptied weekly. I have a Harman magnum stoker. Thx

Well I guess his question is where did this oil come from. The stoker motor bearings sound like they have leaked. That means you will probably need to replace that motor soon. The only other possibility is did you oil the pillow block bearings for the pusher? It only needs a couple drops but if you over oiled it, it could leak into the fines tray.

Did you put oil in the cups recently? Have you done any lube maintenance for any reason lately? Is your Coal oiled?
