Franco like Richard said. Chubby Jr, Crane 44, Petit Godin.

Are you day tripping to the cabin or spending days on end there? Burn time between tending important?

Yep, bb, how you plan to use the cabin has a lot to do with your choice--might be that coal would not even be the best choice--Soooo, Momma finally booted your ass out where you belong? toothy

Is the Cabin Insulated ? Decent Doors and Windows that seal? If it was me,especially on something that small,I'd be using outside air piped in for my combustion,no matter what I installed. You should be able to find a little stinker of a used stove. If the design allows, you could minimize the burn or coalbed area down with some firebrick. I think you can create a nice little set-up fer yerself'. :smoke:

If you are heating from dead cold it takes quite a few hours to get up to heat so a little larger stove might be better. A full size Chubby for instance. Crane 44, Penn,

Your set up gives me the Trots just thinkin' about it! FF could be your Interior Decorator. I'm likin' the Mr.Happy Outhouse Concept. I see jpete providing the Technical,Conceptual Advice along with Advanced Bottle-Cap Twisting And Un-Capping Technique Information Sharing. No Cell Phones or Land Lines, just Smoke Signals,Carrier Pidgeons or Pony Express Accepted. Am I Nuts?...? Sure ! I just don't know it,yet !! In all seriousness, you may not believe what you may encounter in a used stove price.....Patience,Determination,Vigilance,and a few Broken Marriages later, that cabin's gonna be a Hot Spot ! :help:

There are a LOT of small 'Oak' round stoves around for little money. I see them often on craigslist. They are too small to be mis-used as a wood stove, or at least to Lol much more than a handful of wood.aA warm morning is a good small stone as well.

How about some photos of this rustic paradise ?

How about a small pot belly? they are cheap low tech and should take the chill off fairly quick burning wood to get some coals to start the coal if a weekend place.
