You blow me away, Don!!!!! Unfunkin' believable. Let there be light!!!!! That plain Jane gray box sure has come back to life!! You may have t0 go back to 'Peckville' and get the competition
chip flashed into your Hot Rod. I can't wait for you to get it piped and fired. Cold weather coming very soon, and perhaps you can get a barrel of 'Nitro' to sprinkle on the hopper to make it into a 500K barn burner!

You have been busy.
I probably would have settled for a set of hood stripes, but I sure can't argue with your finished product. Looks great. I am looking forward to seeing your install progress.

Damn Don, that looks amazing! She looks.....well..HOT!
I know you have a handle on your plumbing but I thought of one other item you should include in your installation. In the water feed to the boiler install a backflow preventer. It goes on the high pressure side of the pressure reducing valve. It keeps boiler water from flowing back into your domestic water if you suddenly have 0 pressure in your domestic plumbing cause you are replacing a faucet etc.

Spectacular! I can almost envision Mark Donohue reving that thing up! The only things it is missing are a number and some decals.

Don't mean to nit pick but, did you put the gauge in the port that the relief valve usually goes in?

Good eyes Scott,
I just put the gage in the top for the photos. But now that you mention it, that is were the perssure relief should go.
Scott, I'm thinking this gage is shot. do you think I should replace it? Or is it because its not in the system? Pressure is reading above 30, just sitting there?

You can just take the cover off and push the pressure arm over to zero. The gauge goes on the front on the one I have. I would say that you let it get too much colder in your shop and your beautiful paint job won't cure. The gauge is reading less than 50 degrees. Better fire that stoker up a little for the night.

Thanks Scott,
I hope to use this gage. I am going to take it apart to paint the shell , so I will do the adjustments then. This gage measures Altitude? Maybe this is an aircraft boiler?

Beautiful job on it Don, are you considering a nice fat "Y" connection at the breach to get a set of dual pipes dumping to the chimney for you for rapid exhaust extraction ? Mike

You only need one circulator per zone. I like these mounting flanges (they also make them with a boiler drain built in): http://www.pexsupply.com/Webstone-50405-1-4-Sweat ... -7789000-pStokerDon wrote:We should,Rob R. wrote:Are we listing every component required for the install? What do you have for a chimney? You will need to add a draft control to your shopping list.
