Blaschak va coal contractors

PostBy: gitrdonecoal On: Fri Dec 27, 2013 9:57 pm

I have 2 different suppliers near me, one carries blaschak the other coal contractors. I've burned a ton of coal contractors so far and seems to produce good. Thinking about trying blaschak. Any pros or cons with either? Interested to see who likes what

Because the place with blaschak is 15 minutes away closer to me, and the place with coal contractors is 25 minutes away. The farther away place is on my way back from work, but when I go back to work next week it's will be a high of 15 when I gotta unload it. Plus if people say that blaschak is better quality it will gladly get that instead. Thanks for your input

Either one is fine, I would get whichever is closest to home.

I've used Blaschak for 7 years because that's the closest thing to me. It burns ok but... My suggestion is to get a week's worth of the other stuff and see how it burns before going all the way with it. Good luck, Lisa

Never got a bad bag of Blaschak. They package it damp so it is pretty dust free too.

2 or 3 years ago i got 5 ton of the coal from Coal Contractors. Yeah , they charged me a bit more to drive it out this far from Hazelton but it was a nice shiny coal, not dull at all. Burned great, sized very consistent ,lot lower ash than the stuff from new Superior at the time which was surface mined and had the light fluffy ash. I'm sure it varies year to year. Was it worth the extra per ton? I don't know, i don't burn Blaschak. Have a guy at work who says he will never burn Casey Kassa again once he found this coal from the Hazelton area. To me, Blaschak is for people who want bagged and have no other choices. If they both about about the same for you, go with the lower priced one. PM me if you want a drivers phone# who delivers out of Coal Contractors, he may be cheaper than what you pay for bulk if you're not too far away.

Edit, see you are up in NY, most drivers from near the breakers won't go that far, good luck.
