That's the Killer in all of this,Larry! That's why I publicly thank People for bringing up these Screamer Topics. I does provoke thought. To me it shows how important perspective and situation are. In the WW2 era,Snowden would've been executed. My perspective is though,in our era,Snowden violated the Government that was put in place after the Crown's hold on us ceased. I guess it comes down to what the Folks here think of what that Government's become all these Years later. Flyer's got damn good points about the surveillance on us. This is a Screamer ! :bang:

Apparently there's way MORE than most of us thought, or at least had hard evidence for. There may not be much ANALYZED, but a huge amount GATHERED. Now it's just a matter of writing a quick SQL query, "Show me everybody that Samhill has telephoned or emailed in the last year, and the text of all the emails to or from his contacts".

SELECT PERP_NAME, PHONE_NUMBERS, EMAIL_ADDRESSES, EMAIL_TEXT
FROM PHONE_LIST, EMAIL_LIST, EMAIL_TEXT_REPOSITORY
WHERE (PHONE_LIST.PERP_NAME = ‘SAMHILL’ OR PHONE_LIST.PERP_NAME = 'BILLCLIN')
AND EMAIL_LIST.PERP_NAME = ‘SAMHILL’
AND EMAIL_TEXT_REPOSITORY.PERP_NAME = ‘SAMHILL’
AND EMAIL_TEXT_REPOSITORY.EMAIL_TEXT LIKE ‘%MONICA LEWINSKI%’

There. You and Bill are busted, and potentially blackmailed, by any of the hundreds? thousands? hundred-thousands? of contractors or employees with access to the databases.

I'm certain that the NSA brought down General Petraeus. We are spying on ourselves people. Where is this different from Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union?

When Jesus was accused of casting out demons by the power of Satan, he was famously purported to have replied: "if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?"

Does not spying among us likewise imply that we have reached the stage where if something isn't done to right the ship of freedom our nation will not stand for much longer?

Rberg, most don't know that Monica had a little facial tick but has since then learned to completely consume all evidence with no dribble what so ever. It's a wonderful world & it was covered under insurance. :D

He choose to run to a communist country China first & foremost (do you really think he could say they can look at some things & not others) then after they had all they wanted he went to Russia (same thing there) & now that they have everything he had they are allowing him to play a game with us. Every country has had spies from the very beginning & he dropped a dime on our whole operation, don't know if spy names were given or not or what is now known that isn't being let out. He could have just quit his job, simple as that. Yep, he's a true American Hero, that's for sure.

But that's not the order in which things happened. He leaked the information first, then ran to one of the few countries where he was out of reach of the POTUS who said he wouldn't go after whistle blowers.

From what I understand, everything went to Wikileaks and the Guardian newspaper. Not any particular government.

“Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with.” Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged

By spying upon everything we all do and say and type they can eventually find dirt or law violations or compromising situations or actions on any and all of us, and someday they may use this dirt to force us into line with their wishes. We are all assured to be lawbreakers or to at the very least harbor some hidden guilt in some way shape or form. They will someday attempt to cash in on our own guilt and shame, if not for our own lawlessness (in a nation where the law will subjectively be whatever they say it is and means on a situation by situation basis).

How's that for conspiracy?

If anyone thinks they are not being watched. Just look at the ads that come up. Google collects a lot of things from your computer to determine habits and interests. Its not coincidence that ads will pop up that are on topic with whats in you email inbox. Oh yea google shares with our uncle.

If he would have just quit his job and turned whistle blower the administration would have just put the spin on it and people would not have even noticed. By doing what he did, how he did it, it made people notice and put the administration off balance. Hero! ;)

Your not the only 'nut' out here. I also think Paul Ryan's recent actions with the 'Bipartisan Budget' reeks of NSA spying involvement.
And Boehner helping Obama to write a speech :o .

SHHhhhh! Don't tell anyone.

People rarely change their beliefs 180* unless some good reason causes them to. Either that or he has been a RINO all along. But he had me fooled for sure when he was running for VP.
