Should the NFL & many others get free ride at the expense of the increasingly smaller # of those that pick up the shortfall?

No.

There should be no government subsidies for any business, or most any other purpose or individual, other than during a constitutionally declared war emergency.

The 16A needs to be repealed and replaced with one time federal tax at the retail level only.

Why should anyone be subject to income taxation? We did just fine without it for the first 125 years of the Republic.

Income tax makes you a share cropper with the government as owner.

Same with property tax.

People come at the tax issue from the wrong direction. They try to figure out everything they can tax to support the government when they should be trying to slash government so that it can be supported by taxing as little as possible.

Answering samhill: No the NFL shouldn't get tax free status, and communities should not be forced to pay for or even subsidise their stadiums. They are clearly a "for profit" corporation.
