Okay guys. I wanted to send out a huge thank you to one of our NEPA members "Wanna Bee". If you look back you can see the post he made about his fabrication of a new firepot for his baseburner and the obvious skill and time it took to complete this. Some time later I found a Red Cross baseburner and picked it up for a great price. The biggest problem was that the firepot was missing. Now everyone knows that missing parts to the more scarce stoves can be a huge problem and it could have been. I posted on here about my newest stove and Wanna Bee replied with an offer to let me use the firepot mold he made because it was the same size as my stove needed. He asked for my address, boxed, and shipped his mold to me. I have recently gotten my new cast firepot and the mold back from the foundry and everything is perfect. This kindness to a complete stranger is very uncommon these days and very much appreciated. I will be sure to pay it forward the first chance I get Sir. Thank You

Well, as my Crusty Native American Friend,Mr.FreeTown Fred has previously elaborated,we try to make it a habit to do wonders for each other on this Board. Trust has turned into a real nailbiter in our times. Stories like this make a reputation for this Forum, and the Folks that are in it. Thanx,Wanna Bee, for the huge leap of Faith. And,in closing,Thanx,Slinger100 for calling him on it..... :notworthy: P.S.-Fred taught me to type like this, and he also said I was a dress wearin' Pansy that speaks like I was raised inside of a mushy American Greetings Card ! :flush:

Dumb phone! :nono: Nice Wanna Bee way to go! That's how the torch gets passed around these parts. I bought a stove from a complete stranger but he is a friend of a forum member (Freddy)...well make a long story short Freddy insisted delivering it with his buddy 160 miles round trip! That's how these folks roll

Glad I could help.
As I said, after I got my use from it, it would have just become a lost relic in my house of wonders. My work not only saved my stove, it gives hope that another of these beautiful works of art from the past will burn again.

Great story, and thanks for sharing.

As for the pictures, sometimes it is easier to email yourself the pictures from the phone and then post via your laptop or whatever. If you continue to have problems send me a PM and we will figure something out.
