Hi guys,
what i'm looking for is pics of suspended fire pot arrangements with out as much of the barrel in place around them as possible.
so that a view toward how the combustion air and heated air from the base chamber and ash pit moves around them.
also pics showing the travel path from the main barrel into the transition pipe going to the base chamber.
i don't know if any of these pics exist and if they do it's because of some very thoughtful effort while a large restoration project was under way.
thanks,
steve

both of those are fantastic, thanks guys.
that is pretty much what I was imagining for the firepot mounting.
some of the details of the flue damper, pipe and heated secondary tract i'm going to have to see to completely sort.

Emery has told me he has firepots for some of the Crawford Base Heaters.
He's restoring a No, 3 for me right now, which is only missing a couple of trim bits and the dome.
I picked up a No. 2 last fall in the Berkshires, which has a missing firepot. He said he thought he had one to cast from.
They're fantastic stoves.
Hope this helps - Chris
