You actually don't need the "0". Also, this does not work on a laptop. I've not figured out how to do it on one. Oh, the way to get it to work on a Mac or any Apple product is to just throw it up against a wall as hard as you can. Dropping it out a window or throwing it from a moving vehicle works well too. Only good Mac or Apple product is the ones that go in the trash.

Not sure what you mean by not needing the "0". The long way to get to this symbol is to get to your character map. Different versions of Windows put that in different locations. If you click the start button, you can then type in character map in the search bar. It will take you to the map. When you find the symbol in the box, click on it. Then click on the select button and then the copy button. This will put it on your clipboard. Then when you are typing your temperature numbers, all you have to do is control key plus the "V" key...essentially doing a paste from the clipboard.

* looks better at least for winter time temps anyway,just my .000001 cent ,just checked the outside temp 8* ,should be our high for today,we have actually gotten all buildings warmed up,all air exchangers cycling instead of running constant when the water temp was low,i believe we will go thru more than an 8 ' pick-up load of wood in 24 hrs hoping to have $$ for a coal stove in the next 2 weeks,little late for this artic blast but we will be prepared for next one. Yes,we did try some nut coal in the OWB,no shaker grates,does not work well,keep warm. just read titleist's post

Storm here, with a upgrade from a Mark 1 to now the Mark 3 this winter in Wisconsin last night -21 with wind of 15-25mph it's 72 degrees. Stove temp 500 degrees. Thanks for this forum and all of you guys and gals that help us have a warmer 135 year old farm house. G.

just went down to do barn chores--it was 8*--came back in 15 minutes & temp was 2*---WTF--I'm not gonna get into wind chill or any of that brainiac stuff, but I'll tell ya--it's REAL chilly here on the hill--callin for -30* tonight--this is getting old ya know, but the old Hitzer is takin it all in stride--goin through 60 lb per day--house is at 74. I'm a happy old farmer:)

We made it up to 18* this afternoon but it's already heading back down. Right now we are at 16 feeling like 4. They are saying it will be 11 tonight feeling like -2. That'll be the end of the extreme cold and we will be heading back to our seasonable temperatures in the mid- 40s. They say we will be 55* on Saturday; then I'll be able to see if the bees made it or not. Still warm, Lisa
