520 baffle plate replacement material / dimensions

520 baffle plate replacement material / dimensions

PostBy: bustinjergin On: Tue Jan 07, 2014 12:39 pm

I have a used 520 but it's missing the front baffle plate that hangs in the V grooves. I was just reading over the site and I know that these can warp over time. I have some excess, high temperature thermal ceramic plate and I was considering this as a replacement for the cast iron baffle.

What are peoples thoughts on this?

Does anyone have the dimensions available? I might try it. Has to be better than not having one.

Thanks!

See attached. I am not sure how your material will work long term, but it is a lot better than nothing.
