I have a ten year old son who will be starting middle school in September. We want to stop sending him to a before and after school program and just have him picked up and dropped off by the school bus. My wife and I want to keep an eye on him without actually being there, we both work full time. He's a great kid but does have attention issues, meaning he might forget to close the front door, leave the fridge open...etc.

We are very conservative and honestly we don't want to leave him alone when he gets home from school. The neighbors are elderly and can't be burdened watching a young boy. The after school program is actually detrimental and places him in an environment with teens and kids who are not well mannered or behaved.

Can anyone suggest or recommend some high quality video equipment that will allow us to remotely monitor and record the interior and exterior of our home in real time?

the samsung sde-3004n dvr/cam setup.
its very nice, IR, under $300 at walmart.
nice network interface for remote viewing, etc.
without network access, it works like a trail cam with a 500gb hdd.

Thanx,Grumpy, but in all honesty,I feel terrible for EW&F ! This isn't an enviable position to be in. Getting the young man out of Dodge is a Great Start. If he's encountering Punks, well,he could do without that, for sure! There's got to be a better way...I'll think hard on this one,for sure. In the meanwhile,,I guess this messed up Camera inet deal is better than those Punks....
