I have a keystoker koker (direct vent) connected to my regular (oil) furnace. Monday/Tuesday nights were really cold. Koker ran constantly Monday night - Tuesday am turned coal feed up one turn (still 8 turns out) and it started to keep up. It did get down to 62 in my house mon. night. Anyway, I burned about 120# coal on tuesday. Seem right to you guys? My house is 3400 sq.F. Upstairs is insulated well basement not as good.

Hello,Claridon! I fresh out of Kokers, but you've got a large Home. Once you get behind and that bitter cold was invading towards the core of the structure, you've got to get you're unit to pedal like Hell to catch up. Pretty sure we broke the Low Temp Record for Tuesday. It stood for 130 years. I'd say you did well to get caught up with 3400 Square feet. When it's that cold, all bets are off. Next time try moving your feed rate up ahead of the cold to keep pushing the heat outward. Glad you dropped in! :)
