long ton, short ton, this "new age" 40lb bag bull crap, combined with the fact that math is easy for you and difficult for me.... makes it easier just to ask for your help (took you about 2 seconds without thinking) instead of me questioning myself... a kindness id give anyone on questions I know without thinking but they question

There's that, and there's also that some dealers quote you a price per ton, but don't mention the fact that a Blaschak skid these days is 1.2 tons (60 bags), so some people get sticker-shock when it's time for the wallet to come out.freetown fred wrote:dc's just getting OLD Kevin

P.S. I'm not complaining about Blaschak. While waiting for a TL delivery of other coal I recently used a couple of skids of Blaschak buck and it was awesome.

I get brain farts every damned day. I loose my words too. For example, I forgot to the word for lay ups the other day at practice, my girls looked at me like I had lost my mind which in fact I had!!

You should explain to them that you have so much hoops knowledge crammed into your head that sometimes it takes a while for things to make their way out. You might feel better even if they don't...NWBuilder wrote:I forgot to the word for lay ups the other day at practice, my girls looked at me like I had lost my mind which in fact I had!!

Depends on what planet you're on,....weight changes with gravity,...,....Mass remains the same. In Massachusetts, all bets are off,.....a world unto itself!

Are you saying we should be ordering TL's of coal from the moon because we'd only have to pay for like 4 tons?Carbon12 wrote:Depends on what planet you're on,....weight chances with gravity,...,....mass remains the same. In Massachusetts, all bets are off,.....a world unto itself!

MA is about as strange as the moon is distant ....
Yep - 50 bags a ton, 60 bags a pallet (1.2 tons).

OK, but like Carbon12 said, "Mass remains the same", so that shouldn't be a surprise.SMITTY wrote:MA is about as strange as the moon is distant ....

Doug, you need to re-phrase the question to make sense......How many bags in a typical pallet of anyone's coal? A ton is a ton is a ton. Could be 2000 1 lb bags......
2200 lbs, 2450; 2550...... some bigger. It is about proportional loading for max weigh carrying, nothing else. That way the shipper gets max legal weight, properly distributed on his rig.
I'm gonna sic Larry on your butt if you don't straighten up! Were you sniffin too much 'refractory cement dust;??????????
