I know Emery routinely waits for his magnetic temp gauge falls off his stove in his shop @ 1000*. This is the temp the magnetic field gives up on his gauge. He can hear it hit the floor if he is not in that part of the building. This is his signal to ease back on the primary air :funny:
Geez, now that's what I call radiant heat.

Fresh from the "Stove Hospital"

I'll report on Ops as soon as I light her off to cure the paint and refractory.

For size comparison, the lower picture is of the No. 2

Thanks Emery and Brandon!

Great stove!! I'm sure that you'll be more than satisfied with that stout heating unit.
We will be looking forward to your reports as soon as they become available. :)

See, it looks perfect. You were worried that it might be too large for the space and see it is the same as the No 2 except it's just twice as rotund. And the 40 has the extra special finial too.

How about thanking the rest of the guys that commented on how nice of a stove you have. It seems like like the only thing that was important was acknowledging Williams great sense for the obvious. Jeez. Why post pics ? For people to see and appreciate and then to recepricate.

That's OK Merc, if we choose to salivate over his superior stove then that is our problem, he does not have to thank us. I would love to lord it over other stove owners but sadly my stoves are still just a pile of rust in Wilsons workshop. :cry2: :cry2:

You may not believe this, but; once upon a time what seems so obvious now, wasn't so obvious here.

Oh my....

Lightning, Coalnewbie, Merc300d, SunnyBoy, & Michaelanthony .... Thank you.

And thank you in advance to all who wanted to post but did not, the moderators, Richard the "Mayor", the forum moderators, all the folks at Blaschak coal, Mt Tom Energy/McKinney electric, Walker & Pratt Stoveworks, Marcells chimney sweeps, the metallurgist's at Allegheney Ludlum Steel, The Great State of Rhode Island, and last, but certainly not least, my lovely bride.

I'm sure I missed someone or something..... :nana:

Cheers,
Scott
