This brings up a good point. With today's DNA testing and advances in criminology it has become less likely for error. And if there is no possibility for error and execution is chosen why does it have to be humane. I think it should be a deterrent for possible future criminals. They should be afraid of committing any crimes. Even our prisons are not much of a deterrent anymore.

Your right Flyer, there were many career soldiers that did so simply because of the structured life, I had a drill sergeant that told me the Army provided the best life it could ever remember. When you think about it for many there is no fear of prison, three hot's & a cot, free medical & dental care (better than most Americans can afford), no utility bills, exercise, companionship, they can work, learn a trade & even earn a degree. Not all that bad of a life for many. If it would come back to hard time, chain gangs & crappy food things might change some, now prisoners get to do jobs for big business & deny others work even if it wouldn't be in this country, prisons have become big business.

samhill wrote:If they are all clearly guilty like this guy was I would say he got off pretty easy & didn't really feel much pain that was just nerve convulsions, I never could figure why we can't do the same to them as they did to their victims. I haven't heard that much outcry over this, a few don't speak for many but then again everything is a libs fault.

Not everything. But, I did some research today just for shits and grins and I discovered a ton of Democratic officials calling for the end of the death penalty. I didn't find many Republicans. As a matter of fact, I don't think I found any. :|

You're really starting to worry me. You strike me as a Hard Man who's not afraid to Justifiably Kill in Self-Defense. Your Christmas Greeting was considered raw by some Folks here.-Tough *censored*-......With all of that being said by me,I have one question: Why would you be so Humane to this Garbage by giving him a round to the back of the Head and making his Gravesite a Slit Trench Urinal? I'm thinking for all of your realistic hard edged existence, you actually have Heart and Decency. I think you have a damned good picture of what Love for your Family is and show it by protecting and teaching them to protect themselves for a Lifetime. While this Unconcious Vermin took 25 Minutes to die, unaware and pain-free,he didn't have time to think of the three people he killed, and the countless number he left as Living,Tortured For Life Vacant Family&Friend Survivors. I really can't type what my plan would be for this Devil/Mutant. I just couldn't put it into play until I could figure out how to bring him back to Life and then put him through it all over again, three times for all three Victims....Yes,I would see him in Hell for what I feel. Again-Tough *censored*-

I looked at it like this: What is the best way to execute someone that could not be lumped into the left's agenda of "cruel and unusual"? That's the best I could come up with. It in no way signifies what I would do if I were in the same situation. As a matter of fact, I don't like to even think about it because it conjures up some demons inside of me that I don't like to face and certainly never want to set free. My solution would certainly not be pain free. Think along the lines of the movie "Law Abiding Citizen" and you will have scratched the surface.

We have the capabilities to be 100% sure now a days with forensics, so the cases should be open and shut. Every state should have the death penalty, and it should be carried out swiftly once there is no doubt. It is all about politics. Some states still have some balls, but most don't. What is humorous to me is if a death row prisoner tries to hang himself, everything has to be done to save his life only to eventually execute him. Strange how the world works...

I think it would be better if Ohio would use a gas chamber, there are many gasses that could be used to asphyxiate death row inmates. That way the state can buy C02 or argon from airgas, or just put a gas burner in there to use the O2, insted of having to find drugs and then dealing with those idiots blowing there veins out trying to avoid death.

Your right klook, my mistake he knows exactly what he wants to & nothing will ever change that.
If the legal system in the U.S. didn't have such a poor system in executing the wrong people then I wouldn't think there would be all that many against it. I still think the guillotine is an excellent choice, cost effective, fast & sure.

You don't have to Jpete, they have just taken it anyways. When was it ever in doubt? Kent State? Race riots in the south. Multiple video's depicting police brutality? Just take your pick.

kevin

How about cops killing unarmed people and even kids, no charges. Nothing.

Hmmmm. religions come right in there with that. I guess it could be said many early gov. were the religion of the day. But Mao, Idi Amin, Pol Pot, and Hitler along with Stalin might not have had a religion. I guess i vote for Gov. as well! ;)

Think the family of the perp is whiny and looking for a score. Lets face it, they raised the POS,is anybody surprised? As far as the kill, I think the state showed considerably more compassion than
this F did for his victim. Hope he is agonizing in hell with a hot barbed wire poker up his ass for eternity. Ultimately, we can not verify that, so I can except that he is GONE, never to return. That we
can verify! As far as the death penalty....risky business when the Gov wants you gone. But if they are
sure, and you gatta go.....electric chair is the best. 'Old Sparky' gets the job done and the deterrent value priceless.
