I must agree Blashak (aka Santa Claus Coal...really???) overly wetted yes, drain it and it burns very well, low ash and no shale to speak of.

I've no Idea where CSM in Munson Mass, gets theirs but it was good quality as well except the plastic burlap bags deteriorated within a year or so, buying more than you use for 2yrs would be an issue.

Finally someone local who knows what I'm dealing with around here. The the guy in bullvile
Said he loaded me with a ton and a half but when I got the rice in the spackle buckets and weight each of them it came out to be 1800lbs. I called him out on it but didn't get anywhere. Also the coal was the worst I have ever burned[/quote]

if you paid for 3000 pounds... and only got 1800... can you received only 60 % of what you paid for...
you need to contact the New York State Bureau of weights and measures....
if your numbers are accurate... this is blatant fraud...

..cont:

not to rub salt into ur wounds ...
but this effectively makes the price per ton 2 1/2 times more than the advertized price!!!
...I would be choking someone...

Paying for water sucks. Go down to lennigs with your truck and forget the problems.

I just got a deal on 80 some bags of Blaschak NUT--first time I've ever done any large quantity of bagged-- I'll take notes & get back to ya--come spring I'll cut em open & put what I don't use in my bin, but I'm curious after reading all the complaints

FWIW, other than this current batch of bags, I've never ever had any issues with Blaschak before despite burning quite a bit of it.

Fred, if you don't mind answering, could I ask how much you have to pay per bag for Blaschak down in Freetown? I know you're quite a bit closer to coal country than me and I'm just curious how much the cost inflates to have it hauled up to VT. I have to shell out $7 a bag for 40 lb Blaschak. I get also get Kimmel 50lb for $7.50 but I don't even bother.
