Good job Ohio

Good job Ohio

Way to go Ohio, most don't seem to know that it's the states job to crack down, they both distribute & qualify people for food stamps. I read recently that Pa. is discussing some changes, even going so far as checking if your driving a newer luxury car, if you can afford things like that you don't need assistance. Hopefully all states will start rethinking & then maybe it may spread to corporate welfare also (I know it will never happen in a con state) but things change with enough pressure. ;)

Good luck getting MA to follow that lead. They've created a lucrative business importing trash from all over the world too lazy to work. From the bloated bureaucracy that handles it, to the millions of court cases that will inevitably follow - it's big business in MA. MA is known far and wide as the place to be if you don't feel like working for a living. Be it prison or welfare - makes no difference here.

The parking lot at our local Aldi's is always loaded with the likes of Lexus, BMW, and Mercedes class vehicles. I'm way out classed there in my 2006 Chevy Aveo.

Seems that the requirement has been in place for quite some time, but waiver rights were granted to the State due to the severe economic conditions. The minimum bottom line is that if you can't find a job, then you have to volunteer 20 hrs helping out(food bank, soup kitchen, homeless shelter, etc) and have it documented in order to stay qualified. Reading the article was semi-disgusting with excuses being made for substance abuse, mental illness and being transient. They claimed this got in the way of People contacting HFS Office to sit down with a Caseworker to be evaluated and qualified to stay in the program. How the hell do you not be able to be contacted, yet find a way to grab your Food Stamp money? Yikes... In the end, those that have it coming, that need a hand to get back into a working Life, better get it. Those that are busy shucking, jiving and trying to B.S. someone out of their Jock Strap better get thrown out. Time to Drug Test Entitlement Candidates, long past time.
