I am getting a lot of ash build up on the fins of my blower wheel and its causing the wheel to go off balance and vibrate making an annoying noise. I just cleaned the wheel off 2 days ago and its already making the noise again and there is buildup on the fins again. I have had this stove for 5 years and problem free. I did put all new venting on as the old stuff was rusing. its the same setup and im buring the same coal as I always do. any ideas?

Might be time for some oil. Look for small openings above where the bearings reside on each end, and put a few drops of a good light oil in there. I just use synthetic motor oil -20w-50 on the hand fired, and 5w-30 on the stoker.

You can see the 2 oil holes in this blower:

I believe you are talking about the combustion blower (ash biuldup)? If so, I've had this problem and would have to clean it numerous times during the season. I finally dicided to buy an extra blower to swap out when needed. This gave me pleanty of time to clean the fins properly on the one removed.

You haven't seen vibration on your fan till a rat jumps on board. One day I turned the 30-95 fan on (in shop). It vibrated so bad, I immediately shut it back off. Looked in the blower, and found a 5 or 6 inch rat molded to the inside of the squirrel cage fan. Don't know what happened. Looked like it was running, and had a heart attack or something. It was facing as if it was running the fan like a wheel.
