I guess generations change but I was brought up to not speak ill of the dead.
Sam I think you have received a good snort of agent orange while you were in 'Nam. Do me a favor and respond to this with the quote feature of this forum where someone sad Seeger was bad.

Sing along with me ..."Where have his millions gone, why in a bank account".

Look, I'm not one wish one dead, fer chrisakes he lived a damned long friggen life full of all the riches ones fame could afford, good on him for good genes.

All the while knowing his said riches were based on a lie...a stupid, insipid lie. Good for him and his heirs, now they can run around with the Occupy Wall Streeters with wild abanbon and then jump in their limos and head off to the Hamptons in self-righteous glee.
I think this & your remark about his being a communist were both meant to be less than supportive, sorry if I'm wrong but that's what I got out of it.
Agent orange was a liquid, not a powder & made right here in the U.S.. :)

Who the _u_k is Pete Seeger? I guess some dead guy.
Agent orange was 50% 2,4-D and 50% 2,4,5-T. Both were broad leaf weed killers. 2,4-D is still in use but 2,4,5-T has been phased out. I guess that was the toxic part of agent orange. Funny thing is they were both used in agriculture long before Vietnam.
Oops! Off topic AGAIN.

Then I guess I'll never speak of ill will towards Stalin, Mao, Adolf, Pol Pot...or the child molester that just hanged himself in jail awaiting trial( well I actually high fived at that one) .

Not sure the "Natives" were all that intelligent in the first place.

I don't agree with everything he stood for, but I enjoy some of his music.

So the saying of "if you cant say anything good don't say anything" came from the natives? :poke: Just kidding! Don't be so damn touchy. :D

The greatness of Pete Seeger was in his understanding of aspects of human nature while his tragedy was his ignorance of it.
