Coffee 1/30/2014

PostBy: lowfog01 On: Fri Jan 31, 2014 8:40 am

Good morning,

Freddy I’m so glad you leave the door unlocked. I’ll start off this morning with homemade cinnamon rolls. Mmm... I can smell them as they bake. I can’t think of a better thing to wake up to unless it’s bacon frying in the pan.

I don’t know what today is going to bring. I’m in North Georgia visiting my mom and they have 6 inches here. We are 30 mins southeast of Chattanooga. My flight was canceled on Weds so my short visit is going to be even shorter but what the hey. The time was right - 2 teacher work days and a weekend making a 4 day holiday for me and DK’s frequent flyer miles. SCORE!

Driving up from Atlanta I saw a number of cars still in the ditches and along the shoulders off the road. It was nasty. Everyone is looking for someone else to blame but the truth is everyone is to blame from the state and local governments to those people who didn't listen to the forecast and want out in the mess.

Back home my membership in this year’s One Match Club is in the hands of DK and my girls. I’ll put my money on the girls. DK has been quite content to have me take care of the stove and hasn’t paid a lot of attention over the years. Take care, stay warm, Lisa

Ok, it's been pointed out to me via a PM that it's Friday and it's the 31st. My bad, I guess I was having so much fun hanging around the airport trying for a flight out I lost track of time.

I'm still happy Freddy leaves the door open so I can come right in when the moment strikes. I guess I'll have to eat all the cinnamon rolls myself. :D

See you tomorrow, Lisa

I was going to ask if HB put you up to it & then thought better. I was curious if you had any knowledge about the fly that's causing problems with the bee's now turning them into what they call a zombie bee. Seems like it's a never ending thing with foreign insects attacking what's here.

30 min??? Hell, worked in Dalton today so I was "in your neighborhood" as they say! You might be a little further down if that is 30 by interstate, but not much.

We often go to the Outlet Malls in Dalton but today we headed east to visit family in the Athens, GA area. On a positive note I was able to score some 9mm range ammo I couldn’t find in NoVA. The only ammo available in NoVa is super expensive competition ammo. Now I just have to get it home. The store says that UPS will ship it. If not, the next relative driving north will bring it. Once I get that home I'll have enough on hand to start shooting again and replacing what I shoot in order to maintain my supply. I'm excited to try out my laser sites.

Well...that has been suggested before but no. :D Lowfog is something left over from college. It should have died a quick death but DK found out and it became my license tags and now it lives on in infamy. I suppose it could be worse. Lisa

Lisa it's good to get away and lose track of what day it is. Even better if it seems like a Saturday but really isn't. Went to Elkton Virginia Sunday morning to buy a used harman mag stoker. It was a 3 1/2 hour drive each way but my wife went with me. We left at 6:00 am, it was a nice day and we had a nice ride together. Stove turned out to be a real gem.
