You never have too much power !! Unless you are on ice.. and then you should be on 4 wheels not 2...
I just got propane, $431.04/180 gallons. Last filled just before Thanksgiving, so about 9-10 weeks.. I used to use that much propane in ONE week.
I'm using it for heating the 600sqft apartment, [didn't get to the pipe draining project.], drying clothes, and cooking.
I used to have a 1000# pig for the house, a 500# pig for the shop, and a 330# pig for the apartment.. Now just a 250# pig [cute little guy ] for both the house and apartment.
During the same 9-10 week period, I'm estimating I burnt 4, maybe five tons. Not sure, hard to gauge. I was never cold, and even while the AA fire was not right, I still kept the house and shop warm.
LOVE COAL HEAT !!

I second that motion!!
I used to have a Honda CR125 back when I was 19 -- used to stud the tires up every winter & hit the ice with a group of buddies. After everyone else saw us out there, more people started showing up with thier machines. Everyone was commenting on how they slid all over the place, but me & the crew stuck to the ice like pavement -- we had the inside scoop on how to properly stud the tires from a professional ice racer. I drag raced a guy on a CR500 & left him in the (ice) dust! I loooooove 2-stroke engines!Unless you are on ice.. and then you should be on 4 wheels not 2...
Then the cops shut us down....
I miss those days. Great times! The lake was right next to the police department -- we never even gave it a second thought!! Oh, to be young again....

Three wheels are fun on ice. This is particularly true on a side car rig with three brakes. I bought new Superglides in '72 and '73. Both were stolen but the HAMC left the sidecars. Once or twice a year, I would run the sidecars out on the local reservoir. I stopped doing it when a rear tire broke the ice one day. I restricted my winter motorcycle fun to pulling skiers on back roads.and then you should be on 4 wheels not 2..
I only run antique H-Ds now.
