If you were starting cold and the chimney had a downdraft when you started it will do this until the heat establishes a draft heading up the chimney. When I had a restart a couple weeks back after loading the grates with cowboy coal I popped off the baro in the T and placed a hair dryer on high for a few minutes until the manometer showed a draft of about .03. Took out the hair dryer, capped the T and then I hit the coal with a torch and fired it up.

eta......
oops...forgot it was a power vent set up......

First of all you lost all my sympathy with the Florida on vacation part. The starter bags do smoke a lot. Best to run the povervent a little faster when lighting.

Ok, thanks. So the stove door is not necessarily airtight? Just want to make sure there is nothing wrong with the gasket. I'll run the powerventer a little faster next time I start up. It seems fine now with the baro at .03. By the way,the Florida vaca was no picnic - Disney with a 4yo and a 1yo.

There is a lot more airgaps between the coal in the hopper. Did Disney last year with just a 5yr old. I was interesting.

Hi, all. I'm moving, so I MUST SELL this rear vent Leisureline Pocono ASAP - used one season, includes powervent, 2 ash bins, coaltrol and manometer. $2,000 for everything.
I'm located in Simsbury, CT.
