Is the thought that the stove is worth it, even if it's only parts? Tough to buy something, site unseen.

This was listed in local Pennysaver for Southern Tier NY:

COAL STOVE, good condition, $150, call Dave, 607-648-4588 Port Crane.

I called the guy and he said it is a Heatrola is good shape, with maroon enamel.

He has no use for stove and would like it going to a good home that will use it.

I have been seeing this one in my craigslist seaches for about 2 years now!

I always wondered why it never sold?

If I remeber correctly it started out at $500. Then it was $400 for a long time until earlier this year. This year it has gone down to $300 and now down to $200.

I hear ya Paulie. Who wants a stove that doesn't need research, dis-assy (rusty cruddy POS), repairs, travel and shipping for all the missing, and broken parts, re-assemble it 3 times, cause the 1st 2 you forgot to install the winglets and muffler clamps correctly. And then try to sell it for 1/2 what you invested. (Not counting the labor.)
I mean, where's your sense of adventure, and dedication to the hobby? I wouldn't want a turn key $150 antique beauty either.
