Kinda sad seeing all these stoves withering away all these years to a pile of rust, with no intent of salvation. But then again, I guess the final deliverance is the hopes of renewal through this thread, or C/L postings.

I've held my tongue long enough :D

All this thread does is drive up the asking price of stoves that in reality are not worth 1/4 of their asking price!

Then a couple folks ask about said stove with no real intention of buying, leaving the seller with the impression that the article is as good as gold.

Rant over :D

I get your point Scott. But on the other hand, some stoves that've been listed locally by out of state members, I would've never known they were there, unless someone posted here. As a matter of fact, that's where my 111 came from. guess it's a double edge sword.

If you are interested in anything, give it a week or two and give a call. they might be ready then to be more realistic on price if it hasn't sold.

Here is the picture:

Ya know, MA............I've been looking at that stove..............It doesn't look anything like the 'City Glenwoods' that I've seen posted. Every one I've seen has had a tall narrow barrel. This one is shorter and fatter. I've seen and posted at least a dozen City Glenwood's.

This stove looks eerily similar to Joeq's G111................Would the door from a City Glenwood fit a G111????

I agree Don as a matter of fact one of our member's chrisbuick was or did sell a City Glenwood 12 and looked thinner in the barrel...first I've heard of a City Glenwood 111.

I appreciate you posting the photo's :)

I must have twisted my tongue, sorry for any confusion...........

Here is the thread for Joeq's Glenwood 111: Glenwood 111 That stove is different than a City Glenwood.

I was just wodering if the door from a City Glenwood would fit onto a 'Glenwood 111', although the barrel size should be different.

EDIT:
Oh, WOW............I just found this: City Glenwood #14 That's a City Glenwood 14 with a backpipe. That's a whole bunch bigger than the other City Glenwoods I've seen.

The one you posted is a 'large stove', should heat real well............you found a winner my friend. :D

You made me curious Don, so I pulled the door off my 111, to compare it to the one for sale, and held it next to the 'puter for comparison. If you look at mine in my build thread, you'll notice the window frame shape is different. But the over-all shape of the door itself, and hinge style and location, do "look" the same. But dimensionally, can't say without measurements. Why do you ask? Do you need a door for your "City stove"? :D

Was wondering if someone 'cobbled' the craigslist one together from different stoves.
