Guess I would have to work a little harder to convince yet another neighbor to burn coal.

Proud to announce I was able to convert one long time wood burner over to Anthracite this week. :up: :taz:

This would be year #2 for that Craigslist treasure. Its just a bum with a new suit.

Maybe if ya put in dem new seals ta keep Zee coal from fallin true dem greats ........ya wont need one of dem dare fire pot thingies.

I looked at this stove last March . It's a tiny little stove for display only. $80 and it would look good in a corner with a light in it. In the pic those are black candle holders on each side

I can't see how that can be considered a good value when a brand new coal stove can be bought for just $500-$800 more.
Yes, i am aware that because the old stove is old,the perceived value is reflective of it being old.
I just can't see spending $1500 to buy something that will need $1000.00 worth of work & many hrs to get it usable.

I will now go arm my missile defense system to stop the incoming .. :P
