If the rest of it looks like the part we can see, it should be worth every penny they are asking.

I can't figure this one out, why it's still available. Maybe the owner won't budge on the price. If memory serve me right, the original post had 4 or 5 pictures and I remember seeing a magazine through the front windows and I think the back side said "Detroit Stove Works." ...or maybe the stove has issues.

Stove shows a crack...what is the opinion of this board? Apart from the missing finial, could be a nice stove...

It looks like the gas ring is missing too and maybe ash pan as well. Might need crank also.

With so much missing and the damage I would have a lot of trouble going past 300 and maybe not even that high unless i really wanted it or did not care to restore it.

I feel this is a donor stove for someone that has one already but wants parts.

I also think this stove is over priced for what is left, the finial and crown and all the trim pieces could cost twice the asking price of what remains. ;)

...and who knows what else was stripped off and sold.

Yup, without knowing about cracks, I'd view it as little more than a parts stove.

There's just the front sill piece for the gas ring there. The three other pieces of the ring are not showing.

Not only missing the bonnet, and finial..... where are the two boot rails, the four skirt pieces, and the top skirt ring ? All the nickel plated parts are who knows where ?

Then there's the biggest question. Does it have a cracked base chamber pan, like some do ????

The grates look ok.

There's a few guys on this website that can make an ash pan for it at a reasonable charge.

And a missing shaker handle is no deal breaker. The 3/4 inch triangle socket handles common to Glenwoods were fairly common size with other stove makers, too. They often turn up on eBay.
