Sorry, no such luck. It just means they took the opportunity to empty their bladders. :D We are forecast to go down to 18* tonight and freezing rain tomorrow morning. I was happy to see the numbers. It means the hive may make through to Spring. Stay warm, Lisa

Some will come out when it's a low as 45*. Today was special due to the large numbers that were flying. At one point today it was 59*. When I went to dig the bus out I was working in my short sleeves. We had a lot of melting which will all be black ice tonight. That pattern - melting, freezing, melting - is going to be with us for a while as we are forecast to drop to the high teens Saturday night and Sunday. Be safe, Lisa

About 4 inches of slop here. Just drove the wife to an event. Will have to pick her up later. She doesn't like driving in the snow. Her new Chevy Cruz is nice but sucks in the snow. I have snow tires on my front wheel drive car and it made it through 8 inches of snow the other day like it was dry pavement. A lot of people said I was crazy for spending the $$$ on winter tires. They don't think I'm crazy after this winter. I love those snow tires! Makes all the difference in the world this winter!
I also got a set of radial tire cables,....just in case. Haven't needed them,...yet. :D

What snow storm? I heard about some big NorEaster coming, but we just got a 16" dusting......4 More inches of white gold today. Snow tires? We just take the skidder to town if it gets too bad.
Wasn't somebody worried about a heated driveway? Your good friend 'Phil' was making sure you don't disrespect him ANY MORE. Smarten up!

Robins have been around for a couple weeks, last night a young possum was eating bird seed........and they tell us the bears are gonna be in a bad mood this spring after a lower early snowfall, sleep interruptions........ Hard for the Cardinals to hide out with this white background. 9 deer chomping the bushes at 3 AM right on the patio.......must be hard getting down to the forest floor for nuts and wild apples. Pileated woodpeckers are reeking havoc on dead trees and the local Pointy-Heads are POed because no 'Intent to Cut Permit' was requested and the yield is very hard to verify. I understand that the Feds are funding a $25,000,000 study to establish an Agency to remedy this willful disregard for the Laws already on the books. Wish someone would tell the sob's that toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much salt/brine is MUCH worse.

Here we go again. Another 10 inches today into tonight. That 4-6 we were suppose to get Thurs. turned into 10". Doug (Whistlenut) I saw some robbins myself this morning while taking the dog out. These are the winters I remember when I was kid. I don't mind the snow (like using the snowblower) just wish I didn't have to commute in it. Looks like snow off and on rest of the week. Everyone take care. Hopefully none of the members were involved in that mess on the PA Turnpike.

The Angels look at all the snow pressed up against the basement window. They look innocent but I think they did it.

Learn something new every day. I've got a fan club.

Anyway ...

Last I saw we had about 20" total on the ground ... and MORE is coming down as I type. Temps have been pretty decent lately - nothing below 25° for a few days. We got almost an inch of precipitation from the storm on the 5th, .80" the last storm, and .15" already as I type. Going to be 3' of standing snow out there tomorrow .. or close to it.

You Coasters are definitely a Winter Fashion Statement. Like McGiev's said,we've been spared! I woke up to a surprise -1*,but since a Clipper's coming at us,the cloud cover has allowed it to rise a few degrees. I'm thinking Freddy's installed a Ski Lift in order to get to the Coffee House, and Smitty's fired up a Still, with the help of the Basement Frog and Cujo Kitty,to keep Snowbound Booze Hounds stocked up during this influx of "Ohio White" as we call it.! :fear: toothy
