Manometer Reading Changed
when I fired up for the season I left the manometer where it was last year.then I noticed was only reading about 2.i adjusted to read about 4 to 4.5.whent down to check on things last night and it was reading over 10.readjusted back to 4.5 and it now sits where it was last year.any ideas why it changed so much in one day?running a 520 efm highboy boiler.

The oil has been know to evaporate. Did you disconnect the tubing, check for level and re zero? I assume you mean -.04

Yes, if blocked the reading would move towards zero or positive, depending on where you measure. If Baro is maxed out, the chimney must really be drawing well,...too well! Was it windy when the measurements went wacky?

If the baro door opened a significant amount that would indicate a strong draft. It would likely be caused by extreme cold or a steady wind, if it continued for a period of time. A gusting wind would cause it to flop around some.
What are you adjusting?
