Hey guys, I currently have propane heat and I would like to get a coal stove for my basement to supplement my heat and use as little propane as possible. My home is a little under 2000 sq.ft. with out the basement, the basement is an additional 700 s.f.
Im looking at two stoves the Harman Mark III which is rated at 92,000 Btu/2400 sq.ft. and the Harman TLC 2000 which burnes both coal and wood rated at 72,000 Btu/1900 sq.ft. The Mark III is obviously more output however the TLC seems to be a bit more conveniet since its a top loader. What do you guys think, which is a better stove? Also how good are the Keystone stoves and the Alaska stoves? I guess what im asking is which brand is the best and which is the best stove in this catagory? Also the dealer I went to (S&T Coombe on 940 in blakeslee) does not carry Keystone or Alaksa, does anyone know of other dealers that carry these lines? Any input is much appreciated.
Thanks
Steve
