Thats a lot of coal! I don't want to think of what it would cost you for oil or gas for a year.

It's already dipping below zero around here per many of the backyard weather stations in my local area that are linked to Wunderground (Weather Underground). NOAA is now forecasting -6 for the low here tonight. The Coal Gun is shrugging it off and idling most of the time, while not breaking a sweat as it keeps the house at 69 degrees (the set-point on our all of our zone T-Stats sans for the garage zone T-Stat which is set at 46 degrees).

We are getting serious winds, the house is rumbling. Supposed to drop below zero overnight...the EFM is already running pretty steady.

When the wind kicks up , and temps drop, meaning close to zero and days in the teens, I put the Coal-trol on temp hold and convection blower on full tilt so the house stays even, and I do not get any swings, or very little. 7 last nite, 9 and dropping now. Without sunny days, and these temps this is my MO :x

And I will NEVER know what it would cost to heat with oil or gas! coal is all I've ever used.

Zero with - 10 wind chill in Giradville Pa. Leisure Line Econo 1 is cranking at max. Living Room and Dining Room at 69.

79 degree difference using wind chill number and 69 degree difference using still air temp .....I'll take it.
