I'm glad that after all your questions and thinking about it, and searching thru all the different stoves, that you finally found what you were looking for. And you got the fire view door and a blower! Thats great! I'll send some of my cold your way when you get it running.

How is that Jr working for you? I thought we had some cold but you guys are in another league. To cold for this ole cowboy. :P

I gotta say this proto Chubby I am running is a dream to use. Don't really need the Crawford running BUT I keep "Joan" on idle. Hate to see a pretty lady like she is not get any attention. Just isn't right :!:

I wondered how it was going, now I know! Congrats! Larry made one Hell of a Stove ! Take Your Time. Do it right. If you want to do the exterior cosmetics after the burn Season is over, then do it. If your mechanicals and seals are ready to fire, get it installed, finish off the Heating Season with it,then pull it out to a warmer garage in the Summer to make it a Showpiece! I'm glad for you,and keep us posted. By the way,Blaschak Coal never replied to my e-mail inquiry using their Dealer Locator Link at their website.....

Well, I want to hug and choke my hubby all at the same time.... I didn't have before pics and he got a little overzealous and cleaned and painted the stove while I was in class tonight! So no before pics. We should have some nice afters though...and sooner than I thought! One thing we have discovered is that whoever had the stove before messed up the fireview door by riveting a piece of metal where the mica should be. Not sure if it can be fixed or if we'll have to invest in a new door. We'll see about that when the metal comes off. I'm going to order new seals from Larry when I order the new mica or door whichever is necessary. And the CO detector is already installed :) We had gas logs in the fireplace before so we bought one a couple months ago for those. I'm on spring break next week so I'm hoping we can get most of the work done then. So excited!!
