FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!

PostBy: MrsSouthy On: Tue Feb 25, 2014 11:14 am

IWe're the proud owners of a chubby coal stove!!!!! It needs a little work, mainly just cleaning. Structurally its perfect. And I think we got an amazing deal. It has a fireview door, ash catcher, decorative top, and blower. And we had to have it shipped from Rhode Island and came in right around $600 total!!! I will be posting pics as soon as I get some. I'll do some before and afters for you guys. So now begins the cleaning of it and hopefully soon the installation. Thank you soooooooo much for your help along the way! I'm certain we'll be picking your brains as we get it ready to install. I can't thank you guys enough! I'm so excited its finally happening!!

Congrats, but when I first started posting, the repeated answers from forum members was if you don't post pictures it didn't happen. :D It got me to figure out how to take and post pix. Still not an expert but the policy made me learn technology...thanks guys. Seriously, congrats on your purchase and you'll have a great time maintaining and receiving the benefit of coal this long, long, long, long, cold, cold, ridiculous winter!

Lol...I know I need to get the pics. The stove is in the garage for its makeover and its cold out there! haha. I'll try to get pics today or tomorrow though. You all deserve to share in the happiness of this after all the help you've been!! I'm really hoping to have it installed in a couple weeks but there's a good bit to be done so I don't know if that's possible or not. We'll see!

The 'Chubby Club' welcomes you! Larry Trainor has a 20 minute video on burning coal in a 'Chubby' at his web site. He also has the manual posted, showing the install into a fireplace. A hot cup of coffee, and viewing that video, will make your adventure very enjoyable. If you need help, the team of experts are here. Again, congratulations on your 'Chubby'.
Cheers

CONGRATS and WELCOME to the "Cult of Chubby"!!

You guys are now the owners of one of the BEST coal stoves ever made and it is IDIOT proof to operate as well. As D-Frost mentioned Larry has a video that covers in around 20 mins everything you need to know about the daily operation of a Chubby. Grab some popcorn and your favorite beverage and enjoy!

Don't be shy if you have ANY questions. You are more than welcome to give me a call or PM me. HAPPY TO HELP, just as everyone else here on NEPA is....

One thing I would suggest is to replace the gaskets on the doors. Larry sells them and they come cut the EXACT length you need.

CONGRATS AGAIN!! :D
