A mixture of sadness & relief here on the hill Freddy. You've done real good through this whole thing my friend & I thank you for having shared it with us. The bus has done it's job well. Be at peace Freddy, as I know Marty is now.

Our prayers go out to you and your family, I have been blessed to see how you two handled this with such courage and dignity. You have set the bar very high.

The only thing I can offer is to make sure to let others serve you in this time. Let them help with things as they offer it is their way of coping and being a blessing to you (an old preacher once told me - you wouldn't want to rob them of their blessing ;) )

Freddy,

My thoughts and prayers to you and the family. One hell of a ride on this bus. Damn ethanol fuel doesn't get as good gas mileage as it should have. But it sure was a nice ride.

Rick

I am very sorry to hear the news Freddy. It was a journey for you indeed. Mixed feelings here. I am sad to hear the news for you and Marty, but relieved her suffering was not prolonged. One day at a time my friend.

Hi Freddy,
I don't think I can add much to the many thoughtful and wonderful above messages, the love in those messages, the prayers, the thoughts for both Marty and you.
All I can try to add might be this:
I believe Marty was greeted by both her mother and your's, and Uncle Bill They are sitting around playing Cribbage, and talking about YOU. They are on the other side, and all of us on this side are hoping that your feelings are acknowledged and that you take comfort that Marty's passing was quick and she received loving care from you and her close friends and family.
Marty and the others are at peace now, and they wish the same for you; to not be in painful grief. We all will, way too soon be on the other side, and together again.

Fred:, I remember well the passing of both my younger brother, and my father. Both of them I think about often, sometimes every day. This I believe is how in our mortal selves, the deceased live on with us.
You and Marty had from what you have shared with us, a wonderful life together, and shared your love with many others in need of caring, comfort and love. Please take comfort in those many hours, days and weeks of comfort you and Marty provided for those in your care.

I really like the comment from a previous message: let those who offer help, take care of you. It is their way of grieving, and while you may feel uncomfortable with all the care showered upon you for the next few weeks, just understand it is what we can do to comfort you, and share our grief, and in these actions take comfort.

Ok, enough rambling on, Freddy, you have my phone number if you feel the need to talk.

Greg L

It is hard to be left behind when a loved one goes forward into timeless bliss with the lord. But I do believe they still reach out touch our spirits until we join them.

Love does not die.

"The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love." 1 John 4:8
