just got back from visiting the folks who get to see this virtually every day.. from their house..
There are views like this from about 3/4 of the windows in the house.. virtually every direction..

This is near Wallsenburg Colorado, at about 7000' elevation.
Last sunday, at 7:00am, it was mostly clear, byt 07:30, we had snow flurries.. by 0800, a full blown white-out..
6"-7" in the next three hours..
AND the best part: by 3pm the next day, it was all gone, and it was 55*. the next day 65*..

Not actually the Rockies, but the Rockies do officially start about 80 miles north of this location.

Mythical Green Flash is REAL!!!

PostBy: Carbon12 On: Thu Jun 26, 2014 10:28 am

I was in Kona, Hawaii a few years back. I had seen the mythical green flash at sunset once before. This time I got it on film. Photos are completely natural. No photoshop changes.
