I was in the Outer Banks, Nags Head last week when the Hurricane hit. The eye passed right over us. The place is built so well we didn't even loose electric. Only problems were from flooding and the bridges south of us.
Made for some cool pics. Pics don't do the wave height justice.
@ 430 in the morning I was outside in the eye of the hurricane, too bad it was dark.

oros35, nice pictures. I was north of you at Ocean City, MD. Arthur passed OC out to sea as a cat 2 by about 70 miles. Dropped to a cat 1 as it passed. No major damage to the beach. It was neat to watch the clouds and the wave patterns change from the south, then straight in and finally from the north. The following day was probably one of the 10 best days you could have at the beach. The storm did thin out the Independence Day holiday crowd which I appreciatedoros35 wrote:I was in the Outer Banks, Nags Head last week when the Hurricane hit. The eye passed right over us. That's pretty wild! Looks like a dome.
Got some from my recent motorcycle excursion to Mt. Greylock out in North Adams, MA - highest point in the state. 3,491' above sea level.

A few pictures of my brother reshaping the Champlain Valley. Adirondack mountains in the distance. Not shown, but in the opposite direction you can see the Green Mountains in VT.
Too bad the picture doesn't let you hear the turbo whistle.

With a 350HP dozer that can only be justified by a "special" cash crop. However, I am envious. Funny, Rouses Point train station has a new blue slate roof with 22kt gold inlay roof flashings. Special trains somehow never get stopped n their way to an anxiously waiting Quebecers. DEA investigators are usually found frozen the death by the road side.
Gotta get me a chrome exhaust pipe for my 955H, however, horse manure is a very low grade cash crop.

Since I have been home bound for the most part since August, I'm glad the Autumn came to my front yard. I love the fall and look forward to it all year.
Here are a few quick snapshots off of my front porch before the big rain yesterday knocked them all down.
