Hello All,

I am conducting a survey for use in a business plan I am writing. The plan will be used to apply for Govt. grants and loans to open a store selling coal stoves and related products.

The info I am requesting:

1. What is your average monthly use of Anthracite coal.
2. What is the BTU rating of the coal burning appliance?
3. Is your home insulated or not?
4. What is the square footage of the home?
5. Where are you located?

I appreciate any help to those who volunteer their information.

Take care

Neal

4. 1600 sqft uninsulated block wall basement, 2000 sqft main floor.

1. What is your average monthly use of Anthracite coal.
.75 ton per month. I usually burn 9 tons per year, that includes producing hot water through the summer. If I had to guess what is used just from Oct - April....7 tons.
2. What is the BTU rating of the coal burning appliance?
214,000 btus/hr gross, 186000 btus/hr net. I usually run it at 100000 btus/hr.
3. Is your home insulated or not?
Yes. Blown in cellulose, and foam board under the sizing. Wind exposure is severe. Most windows are 30 yr old Andersons.
4. What is the square footage of the home?
About 2300 above ground, 1200 below. Average temperature is 70.
5. Where are you located?
Northern NY. 44.9 latitude. :)

Oh Waldo, don't be such a conspiracy theorist. I have been on this site a long time. Check my posts.

The reason I ask for location is so that I can look up the average temperatures for the region each person is located in.
