I've been searching without success for 1/8" lynch pins. Any ideas where to find them?

Googled it and searched till my eyes bled. Closest I came up with was that some Cub garden tractors use the but still no joy. I'll stop by a cub dealer and see if he has them.

Got a picture of the old one...
I have found a well stocked old Hardware store can get me most tings like roll pins...
If I bring a picture of what I want it helps too...
They may know it by another name...

Fred, you bet right. I have several. I want to avoid removing the zinc or cad plating....
My intent in using lynch pins is to replace the cotter pins on my hi lift jack winch rigging. I hate cotter pins and ideally I would replace them with something that is secure yet easy to remove if required.....

My floor jack is the same way--POS cotter pins!!! I had to grind down lynch pins--threw some clear enamel on them--I guess it worked, I got no rust or anything--it WAS a last resort--I know they make them & Tractor Supply coulda ordered, BUT of course I needed them yesterday  toothy PLUS, it woulda been another $10.00 in gas to go back into Town :(

Looks like the spring loaded clips as used on lawn tractors would work well. Can't remember the name for them.

I'll keep searching but in the mean time I came up with a simple compromise. I used a stainless steel machine screw with a ss nylock nut. Clean and secure but requires tools to remove....

You could use hair pins (on the farm we called them quick clips ) but they can get bumped out easily, try the circular ring, like key chain ring, they require no tools, they stay on very well.

Cotter rings are a good alternative. I might have to go that route. Thanks for everyone's advice!

Why not hitch pins with a cable tie loop on the end? Same function. Or the Diaper Pins on the same page!
