They are all a little different. I just lowered mine down to 2 min. I will see if it is still lit in the AM. :)

Draft and coal size makes the biggest difference.

lowered my min down to 4 today i'll give it some time and just see how low i can get it i guess. are their any ways to lower coal consumption ? draft on these warmer days is lower and as far as coal size i'm not sure there's much i can do about that. just trying to make the stove as efficient as possibly thank you for all your help!! the guys at leisure line sure put alot of time into helping us newbies out which was the reason i bought a leisure line hyfire again Thank you !!

Where you have to be careful is the chimney needs so much heat to work properly and all are different. The min could be used to raise the chimney heat as well. Or you can block off some combustion air with duct tape if needed as well and keep your min at a lower setting. There is no right or wrong just what works for your situation. Its a balance between forced combustion air and draft going out the chimney.

I was so worried when I first got the stove had to assemble it and get it working as soon as I could I was pretty much out of wood . Was going to get a pellet stove because of how easy they are but I'm glad I went this way just as easy as a pellet stove but much more heat.girlfriend is ready for summer so I'll the stove alone and pay attention to her !!
