Malaysia Triple 7

I didn't expect much out of the Chinese but it sure doesn't seem like Malaysia is doing a whole lot of information sharing. The longer it goes on the less likely it's gonna be to find. :(

Seems that with satellites that can read license plate numbers they'd be able to run an algorithm that could find a jumbo jet crash.

Why didn't any country immediately scramble jets the moment the plane went missing???

I was under the impression it disappeared at a point where Malaysia hands off radar coverage to Vietnam. So when it went missing maybe Malaysia had stopped watching it figuring it was normal and Vietnam wasn't looking for it real closely yet.

Seems like the perfect coincidental place to have the radar devices on board turn off..... :gee:

...................For the same reason we would not scramble fighters to look for any commercial jet. With the stories that are flowing freely, one wonders just what did happen to that aircraft. It may be a lot more fishy than holding an oil tanker or ship for ransom. You sure can't land and hide something that size easily, so someone will solve it, hopefully sooner than later. The flight path is standard, however the responsibility for tracking gets landed over the the local jurisdiction......all strange coincidences IMO.

It's the families that I feel so badly for, not knowing is the worst case..............

We scramble jets about 60 times a year. If they go off course or if they stop talking to ATC. It's automatic..

Sam it took like 2 years to find the debris field and the flight recorders for that French plane that crashed in the Atlantic. I know there was another plane off the east cost of Africa that also took a a very long time.

Richard, I was referring to the battery on the locator device with the black box, they had a general idea where those other planes went down with this one it seems to be getting worse. It's possible they will never find it, it's a big plane but a lot bigger ocean or should I say oceans. You would almost think that someone would take responsibility if it were a terrorist group, they sometimes like to brag.

Yup, my engines do the same thing for engine trend & health monitoring, via the aircraft SatCom link. If RR says they did, they did!

They have no clear idea where the aircraft may be due to the fact that the transponder stopped sending a signal.

Perhaps the ULB (underwater locator beacon) & ELT (emergency locator transmitter) were not activated?

The engines computers were transmitting data for four hours after ATC lost contact. The electrical power for each engine computer is generated by its own PMA (permanent magnet alternator) driven by a PTO on each engine gearbox. In other words the engine HAD to be operating for this signal to be transmitted.

Maybe the aircraft landed and there is no wreckage and no signals from the locating beacons?

I think it was Grumpy who posted the Stratfor link discussing the software company in TX that does DD contracting. They had 20 or so of their engineers on board. The work they were doing was classified. They were Chinese expats. Could they have been bringing secrets to china?

What about the two Iranians that had stolen passports on board?

What about the wealthy Iranian that paid for theses two guys tickets?

Who were the people the got off the plane?

Did they take their luggage off?

A witness in OBL's son in laws trial in NYC testified that he knew Muslim terrorists were going to high jack an airliner in the east, IIRC.

I love this shite.....I could go on and on and on.
