It's all the way up to 18* degrees now, it could be worse (I think). My rhubarb is trying to come up along with some tulips & daffodils, the crocus are still under ice. We got a white faced black angus & it's calf left from last fall & they are finally starting to road the pasture again & plenty of Bald Eagles & Heron are here again so it's coming. :D (I think)

It was 11°F at 4:30 this morning, I had to get up and stoke the wood fire, it was hung up so it also needed knocked down, turned the Bimetal thermostat up a little on the stove and went back to bed. It was 12°F when I got up, but the house was warmer.
Ground frozen solid, maybe I will cut some more wood today. I might have enough to make it into the end of April but not enough to make it into May.
Stay warm guys!

13* With 4" of Ohio White on the Ground. Should be the Last Day of it for this Session. 40's forecast for tomorrow,50's for the Weekend. It really could've been alot worse! So far,we've missed the 6 to 8" dumping of Heavy,Wet,Ohio White that we usually get in March.... It'll be nice to see some things have a chance to grow! Take Care,Gang !

Bob, another 1" of snow, 12°F and a little wind.
I am officially tired of the snow and cold for the season, yesterday the ground was bare and it was fairly warm.

I normally enjoy the winter weather but I've had enough for this season. It does sound like Dcrane is disappointed that he didn't get the 2 ft. blizzard, to each his own I guess. I got things to do & it's just too cold in my garage so it can warm up anytime it wants. :)

Same here, but this year just keeps going.
As to too cold in the garage, I have a pile of machining work to get done. It is just too cold to be able to afford the fuel for my boiler to heat the shop up to make it safe to fire up the equipment. Too hard on the bearings.

I still have a solid 8 inches of snow on the ground and I mean solid. Hard as a rock. Got up to 30 today but with constant 25 Mph winds. Damn chilly. Spring can come anytime.

'Twas,in a Word,"Skanky" out there today. The wind blunted any effect the Sun may have tried to have on us. Wind's supposedly turning to the South after Midnight. Hell,I may stay up just to Witness it toothy

It says it's 34º outside. Yeah, it's also windy as all hell out so it feels like 18º.

If spring came someone forgot to tell Old Man Winter. I picked up a ton of nut a few weeks ago. I've got half a ton left. If this weather keeps on like it is I'll finish up this ton making it 4 for this season and I'll be in another ton rounding it out to 5.

Have I told anyone lately, I HATE WINTER.

We are expecting a -2 wind chill over night. This had better be the end of it 'cause I've only got 3 bags of pea and 5 bags of nut left. I figure that will take me through the weekend if needed. I just want it over!! Lisa
