Hello. I'm new to the forum. I have a Viking Junior boiler with an Oil burner. I've just bought a Pelltech pv30 wood pellet burner to convert it. The burner is bolted into the bottom door of the boiler, which is bolted into the body of the boiler. I'm looking for a way to either retrofit the current door with a hinge to clean out the ash or buy/make a replacement door with hinges that I can swing open with the pellet burner attached. I've attached photos of the door and opening. Notice that there are two flanges at each end of the opening which I assume would work for door latches.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Retailers, online sources, DIY door build information....would be very helpful.

This is the Pelltech burner installation manual: http://www.pelltech.eu/media/uploads/PV20a_Pv30a_ ... fo_eng.pdf

I can't answer your question but would be interested to see how the burner works out once you have it installed! :D

Totally. As a first step I'll probably run it with the door bolted on to see how quickly the ash accumulates and where the clean out will be needed.

Looks like you should be able to just slide it in and out.
