Check out my new old Florence

Check out my new old Florence

PostBy: PJZ On: Wed Apr 02, 2014 6:06 am

Hello, I'm going to purchase this on Friday. Does anyone have any comments(lol) on my new purchase? The stove says it's a Florence Hot Blast and has a number 36 on it, looks like it's missing the bottom skirts and the top finial. I still think she's beautiful and a great canidate for restoration.
Thanks everyone,
PJZ

I think you have her name already. "FLO" or "FLORENCE" I named my Crawford "Joan" because she can be one hot, sexy and sultry Lady at times and boy does she keep one warm at night... WOO HOO!! :P

It looks like "she" might be missing part of the hot air blast vents.
Here's a link to forum member grumpy rebuild of a Florence hot blast 153.

I thought I would share. Hot Blast #153 Restoration

Once fixed up it will burn soft coal very well.

Carl, Thanks for the feedback. I do see that part of the hot blast ring is missing. I will as Grumpy for advise in getting the part.
Thanks again,
Patrick
