OK--update time. Things go well but WAY slow. This is a good test on my patience:( Got word from the Doc on reconnect surgery. Oct 1--pre-op visit at surgeons office== Oct 6-- pre-op screening at hospital== Oct 10- actual surgery. It'll be real nice to poop out my butt instead of my belly, don't seem natural ya know! --PLUS, I got bronchitis. Got a script for that with cough med. DM. Oct seems real far away, but it's not really ya know. Point of interest--- get your coal put up!!! I got a ton & a half of nut/stove mix left from last season & HEAP kicks in around Nov. for us old farts. Oh well, time to call it a day pretty soon.

Damn Fred! A little indication of what you have endured! I have not pried or read as to what your affliction was. Best of luck, major surgery is tough at any age. But you have the attitude to make it work.

I love the spunk and the fight in the old fart. The will to live means the ability to survive. I am very impressed Fred.
I don't know what you had but looks like they must have torn your a$$ apart. Was it brain surgery.

For the curious & thems that understand any of this Doc stuff--my diagnosis was==sigmoid colon, resection, tumor===acute diverticulitis, perforated with acute serositis. Summed up, I think that all means my pooper blew itself out. Talk about bein full of it

During my plumbing days I've had an expression....when something new or novel comes to light I'll say "That's handy as a second rectum". Well.... ain't we wishin' for that now?
I'm glad the procedure is looking to be temporary Ffred. I've known the reversal to go well. It's considered major surgery, but nothing compared to what you've been through. You'll be back on your feet fast & feel good.

Fred, if you have any problems, I work with one of the best colorectal surgeons in the country. I can probably get him to see ya for free!
