Well, they force the sale of new stoves, and it's all for your benefit as you don't know how stupid you are. :? Ain't the gov. great?

So if you just retired, you're probably ancient. When you started work, it was in the old old old days when camera flash units consisted of putting some flash powder in a big reflector and igniting it. The techs knew how dangerous gas could be, so whenever they thought there might be a leak they would say, "Let's have Randy go in and take a picture". Then they'd stand WAY back and after they saw the flash and no windows or doors exploded out, they'd go in and do their thing. Little did you know the photographer was the most important guy in the company.
You just made my day, I just spit coffee all over my key board! Ancient, lets see, I will be 58 next week but if you ask my Granddaughters, they would say I was ancient so I can't even argue that point.

Emery, you mention that someone else does your gas restoration work. I have a friend just outside of Boston (Roslindale) that has a Detroit Jewel gas stove that needs some work and I'm hoping to give her some leads to find a reputable person that might do the work. Do you, or any of our other members, have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Dennis
