Wrong you are , they're so stupid they're stupid

My friend was referring to folks with many years of education, but very little common sense how best to use all that education.

Or, as my cop friend would say, they are book smart and street stupid !

Sam,

You might want to re-think that brain-washed view that conservatives are uncaring. In reality it's just the opposite,. . . like many of the falsehoods handed out to libs by their leaders.

Conservatives just don't wear their bleeding hearts on their sleeves, but they are just as compassionate, if not more so.

And don't mistake outbursts of frustration with "progressive policy failures" as being uncaring, or insensitive, either.

Sunny Boy, I know that yourself & some others obviously take the easy road & blame everything on libs. I made my remarks using the reply's as a sort of benchmark of todays society in general, I made no reference what so ever to any political party. The reply's to that statement seem to fortify the previous (at least to me) I don't expect too many to be able to see what I'm getting at or admit it but our country has a major problem that isn't totally political but both parties are themselves a great part of the problem. We have become too "me" oriented & complain & blame others for everything instead of asking what are we doing wrong, the very fact that this kid was captured alive instead of being blown away may hopefully be a start to that..
Figured I'd better edit this to say this isn't directed directly against you Sunny or anyone else just once again our society in general.

I have a friend that lives 10 miles from that school. She says the local rumors are saying this kid was bullied for ages & just couldn't take it any more.

I'm not stating an opinion....I'm just the messenger.

Granted about society in general.

However, I don't take the "easy road" all the time and blame libs for all our ills as evidenced by you yourself pointing out about my first post in this thread.

But, maybe you'll wake up to the fact that much of the frustration your just perceived as not caring in others here, is a result of them seeing the slow and steady downward spiral of our society, which has been from mostly progressive (lib) views and policies of the past 60 years of how our children are to be raised and educated. Much of what we, as a society, reap today was sown in those early policies.

And most of your posts and replies on here have been from the lib perspective, as are mine from the conservative. So, if the shoe fits, . . don't be surprised when someone points out something about your "shoe". It goes both ways.

I think a lot will come out on this but perhaps with the electronic communications we have today the bulling never stops, still no reason for this type of physical damage but to a young mind things get larger than what they are. I got bullied & I can recall most everyone I knew did as well, almost a right of passing I stood up to the ones doing it not innocent people & I wasn't prepared to die over it. As I said there is something inherently wrong.
A young girl that was involved was on the news this morning & made the comment that she wasn't trying to make herself out a hero & that others did much more than her. The reason she made that remark was that so many other classmates were accusing her of trying to make herself out as one on twitter & facebook. Everything becomes a major concern to the kids of today & sadly some have nothing better to do than be mean.

Sonny Boy, as I said my comment was a generalization I made no reference either way & I really don't want to get on that path on this thread.

Nothing has changed with children in recorded history. Technology has allowed for more widespread regional bullying. I went to a 2 room school so the potential bullies were few and mostly cousins. When I went to HS, I got bullied, mostly because of my small size, 4'7" and 80 or so pounds, I fought, knocked out a bullies tooth, got beat so bad I couldn't eat for 3 days, and the bullying stopped. No one wants to be bitten, even by a small dog. Not everyone has success with that method.
So, these events are blown up in the media, and that brings attention to this young man in spades. And that was his intention. He's got your attention now, and how. I would bet he had no access to a gun, or he would have used it.

How is it that one little kid can overtake hundreds? Jump him, disarm him, .....grow a pair.....do something. Might offer a few minutes of 'counseling' on the spot.

If we let our world get out of control further, shame on all of us. :!:

WN, according to local news that's exactly what happened, the whole thing took 5 minutes or less. The security guard was one of those stabbed, I don't know if he was one of the firsts or what but it was before classes started in the crowded hallways & you can imagine the confusion as he just game through the crowd slashing & stabbing, it sounds like both a teacher & a couple of students were the ones that took him down. With gunshots you more or less know what's going on with two knives there can be a lot of victims before some even realize what happened, school hallways are not quiet on any given day.
