Another reason for term limits

Glad to see an ungrateful slug like this leave, imagine saying that they didn't get paid enough now he'll leave with a tax funded pension & still be ungrateful.

As a long-serving member of the House Appropriations Committee, Moran said the current environment on the Hill, marked by partisan dysfunction and an emphasis on fiscal discipline, makes it difficult to accomplish as much as he wished.

Poor baby. You just can’t stand not being able to spend the country further into oblivion and confiscating more money from working families so you want to quit and go home. Good riddance.

Moran, a big, pugnacious politician raised in a large Irish Catholic family near Boston ....

Shocker! A democrat that grew up near Boston!

Yeah I agree Sam. MA is a shining example of why term limits are desperately needed ...

And what will term limits do? Absolutely nothing. Oh, if we only had a document that restricted what the government could do, and limit its powers and protect liberty!!......oh crap, we have the constitution...and what good that did. There will still be corruption no matter the things folks implement.

If trying something over and over again expecting different results is insanity, then the logical conclusion of government is insanity.

Vampiro, isn't re-electing the same one's over & over insane? The same type of people time & time again are lawyers & doctors, past & future lobbyists. Get them out of sacrificing themselves for the good of the public (as they all claim) & leaving with a huge tax payer backed pension. Lets get some small farmers, small business owners, factory workers anybody that has actually worked for a living & knows what it's like to represent the majority of people that work for a living, give up a few years of their lives to better not only their future but everyone's, it would be just like doing your Patriotic duty instead of the service.

Sadly, individuals will wind up voting for those that will give them the most, while enslaving all other individuals. Look at how many folks spoke of the constitution, freedom, and liberty......then voted for Romney. Taking the voices, choices and regulation of millions of individuals and concentrating them into the hands of 535+ people is insane, and will always lead to corruption, which must always survive through violence.

This is not freedom. When an individual is forced to work for the benefit of another they are not free, but are a slave. Government is not voluntary, and is slavery. Taxation is another name for extortion. So if you wouldn't want someone breaking into your house and threatening you with violence if you didn't pay for whatever cause, why is it ok when a politician does this?

Free individuals can only protect their rights, and repel any aggression against them. If government was so effective, then why doesn't the retirement age go lower, instead of climb? Why is it individuals on fixed incomes watching their purchasing power continually erode? If they swear an oath to defend liberty, then why does it continually erode? It is the same nonsense over and over again, and both sides come together and fleece the people. This is not something new, but has been going on for as long as governments have existed.

Our "pro-ethics" dem governor stepped on his own you-know-what.
Interesting interview on TV last night with one of the three people that Cuomo put on the panel to do the directing he says he has the right to do. Tough to get away with saying he can "direct" the investigation when he already appointed three people he picked as qualified to do just that. Now one of those three is saying he shouldn't have stepped in and that's going to help those saying he tried to influence the panel's out come.

Even former supporters are saying he can forget about trying to run for president in 2016.
