EFM 350 Gaskets

EFM 350 gaskets

I noticed on a fairly recent post somebody used what looked to be high heat RTV to seal the boiler to the base. Is this the proper " new way" ? Or is flat gasket acceptable?

Also, the rear base panel and side panels are bulged out in between the studs, almost like the gaskets froze and expanded at some point. I will take them off and straighten them as much as possible, but what size gasket or type is the best.

I fill the gap between the base and boiler with boiler putty and coat the top with high temp rtv caulk R
